Dark Matter by Blake Crouch was a very addicting read! It was mostly a science fiction novel with a little bit of romance and some suspense to make it a most enjoyable read. All three of those components is what I really liked about this novel. I was hooked from the very first chapter!
While the story started out really strong for me there were some portions of this novel that I just didn’t get and was a little hard to follow the mechanics of it all. I think that if there was less of the scientific background that was introduced to us it would have gotten a full 5* review from me. I don’t need everything broke down or analyzed for me, it is fiction so I just go with it! But it was filled with non-stop action and had a very dramatic storyline to make it quite the page-turner and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
The storyline was extremely interesting and I really liked the authors writing style as I felt that I was actually experiencing what was happening to the characters rather than just reading about it. I was definitely in the moment while reading this one. What is my position in the universe?
It was an intriguing, enjoyable, fast-paced, and quick read with a satisfying ending. Would recommend!!
