Another great read from Liane Moriarty that I really enjoyed!

BIG LITTLE LIES is a dark and comical mystery with small lies, big lies and dangerous lies that surrounds a parents night out at an elementary fundraiser where something goes terribly wrong. It’s a clever, gossipy and amusing story filled with kindergarten drama but also deals with serious situations such as stereotyping, bullying, and domestic violence.

The story has a large cast of well developed characters that focuses on bitter, strong willed Madeline; slim, beautiful and rich Celeste; who both befriend newcomer and single parent, Jane. The story goes back and forth among them while scattering events lead up to Trivia Night. The kindergarten moms had me laughing out loud with their gossipy ways and the allies they made with each other and I was horrified with the the real life issues that make the kindergarten moms very real for me.

Big Little Lies was an entertaining, witty and realistic story with a mystery that had a satisfying ending that I really enjoyed.
