What We Finished
The Summer List by Amy Mason Doan
Norma and I read The Summer List with two of our Traveling Sisters and two more joined in on our discussion. This one starts off with a nice light read, however, these reunited estranged friends have secrets.
WHAT WE THOUGHT:
We really enjoyed some elements to this story. The lazy summer on the lake, scenic small town, scavenger hunt and a secret to add some mystery to the story that brought back memories for some of us. We appreciated Amy Mason Doan keeps the teen drama low here and still pulls off great dynamics between our main characters.
WHO WE RECOMMEND TO:
We recommend this to anyone looking for a nice light read with a dark twist. With a few more weeks left in Summer, this makes for a great summer read but also with that descriptive atmosphere. It also would make a great winter read to stir up some warmer summer memories.

A Constellation of Vital Phenomena by Anthony Marra
A Constellation of Vital Phenomena really highlights what a master writer can do but it takes some time and focus and might not become clear to the end of the story.
WHAT WE THOUGHT:
This was a story we really appreciated reading and were so glad to of had the opportunity to share our thoughts with each other.
WHO WE RECOMMEND TO:
We recommend to anyone wanting to delve deep into a vividly dense extraordinary story like you have never read before. We highly recommend for group reads and especially for book clubs who meet in person. So much to talk about with this one.
For Marialyce’s stunning review
Ghosted is an interesting read that explores a few different things that you might not expect. The title and cover really do this story justice.
WHAT WE THOUGHT:
We had a few very strong views on this one and well I think maybe reading our different reviews might be easier.
WHO WE RECOMMEND TO:
We highly recommend Ghosted to readers who are looking for a story that digs a little deeper into the emotional side with a twist that might leave you surprised. If you are looking to connect to these characters based on their relationship and love story alone this might not be the one for you. As always we recommend you give it a try to find out where you might land with this story.
