Random Book Musings: So if you were to describe yourself in a review which five words would you use?#travelingsistersread #BookBloggers

Hi everyone! Hope everybody is having a great Thursday!

I always have these random bookish questions that I’m curious about so I ask our Traveling Sisters a weekly (sometimes more) book related question. We thought it would be fun and interesting to take some of those questions to our blog and see what you all think or do. I hope that you will also join in on the discussion with us.

Okay, I thought I would do a little something different this week to mix it up and maybe make it a little more interesting and get to know you all a little bit better.  This question was well received in our Traveling Sisters reading group and seemed like a fun one for all.  I hope that you find my question this week fun too!

Norma’s random book question:

So if you were to describe yourself in a review which five words would you use? Feel free to use your words in sentences if you so wish!

So I thought I might get some help from my hubby with my five words but he just said, “Honey you really aren’t going to ask that of me are you?” LOL

Affectionate, emotional, dramatic, predictable, and spontaneous.

I am an extremely affectionate person and I need lots of love and also like to show my love.

I am an all around emotional person. I can get easily excited and I am very open with my feelings. You would know exactly how I am feeling.

I have been known to get quite dramatic at times and well I can be a little bit of a drama queen. LOL

I have a tendency to be a little predictable and pretty sure that everyone around me can easily foresee or anticipate what I might do under certain situations.

I am an all around spontaneous kind of person.

Hmm I would describe myself as

Passionate about the things I love and love to share what I love.

Welcoming, I welcome everyone to share in our passion with the things we love.

Worrier but I think I control that

I am determined

Empathic to everyone’s mental health and it’s one of the things I worry about.

I am going to sneak one more in.  I am all over the place kind of person who always has too many tabs in my brain open and sometimes doesn’t know when to close some.   lol

  1. This is such a difficult question.. Why can’t you all ask me simple ones like e=mc2 ah well I have forgotten how to explain that too..
I am nice, very loving to people who are open and accepting, weird, moody, very hot-tempered…
I am generally a nice person, but sometimes my mood changes I become weird, then I am not so nice.
I am like a mirror, if people are genuine and accepting, I am very loving, I reflect their love back.
I am moody, so extremely hot tempered, like quicksilver but I cool down really fast.
I keep changing as life changes but I would like to think I becoming a better version of today. But I have my off days when I hate the world and everybody in it, except my mother and sister and now my niece. Took me a long time to accept my bad days… Comes from the bad days of childhood… Well
Quite a short answer I seem to have given to a difficult question… 😂😂

    1. Shalini, thank you so much for sharing a little bit about yourself with us! It took me a little while to accept myself and my reactions to my bad days. I am so glad to hear that you have come to accept them. I think allowing and forgiving ourselves for those bad days says a lot about our character. It definitely doesn’t come easy though as I am sure you are aware of. I’m so proud of us women! 🙂

I can be a little moody too & weird!

  2. Ok once read about everyone else it’s not as easy as you think here goes I would definitely say chatter box, happy, sometimes moody (but aren’t we all), emotional (I can cry at most things) and friendly (a people person)

    1. I don’t know what I was thinking when I picked this question for this week. LOL I thought it would be an easy one but you definitely have to think a little bit. I love the words you chose to describe yourself. I would describe one of my sons with all the words that you have chosen. 🙂

    1. Okay don’t laugh at me Laurie but I had to look up the definition of the word solicitous. LOL
And I absolutely love that you chose that word! Thanks so much for sharing your five words with us! 🙂

  3. Oh this is so cool! 😀
I think for me these would be the most accurate: dry humour, introverted, endlessly curious, straightforward, cute.
Hehe. Don’t think i’d sell too well if i were a book.

  4. What a fun way to get to know each other! Norma I like your approach of asking your husband, I think the words I’d pick are probably a bit different than others would pick for me! Mine would probably include: caring, energetic, neurotic, driven, and maybe extra 😂😂

    1. I am so glad that you think this is a fun way to get to know each other too, Mackenzie! I actually quite love the words the you used to describe yourself. If I were to pick even without knowing you personally I would have chosen a few of your words. Especially energetic and driven! 🙂

  5. Ooh ladies, very interesting! Okay I would say caring, sensitive, over-thinker, clown, loyal. Some of these are both good and bad depending on the situation but I think they are probably the five words that describe me best! 🤔☺️

    1. I love the words that you have chosen, Beth! I think they are all great personality traits although maybe us over-thinkers could do with less thinking sometimes. LOL

  6. I’m a bit late to the game but very interested to see how people describe themselves. It’s a tough question for sure. I’d say I’m selfless, honest, generous, loyal and amusing.

  7. This is a very tough question because I think I have different descriptions based on what is going on in my life. As I sit here relaxing after a couple of crazy weeks I think: helpful, loving, smart, friendly and persevering.

    1. I think you are so right, Carla when you say that certain descriptive words work better for us under certain circumstances. I love those words that you chose though and they pretty much tell me what a wonderful person you are! Thanks so much for sharing! 🙂

  8. Wow. This is a hard one.

Dependable – If I say I’m going to do something, I do it.
Intense – I feel like that covers a lot of territory. I’m emotional and passionate and determined and a bit overzealous, all wrapped up in one messy package that I’ll call “intense”.
Anxious – Clinically so. It bleeds into every part of my life. (See “intense” above)
Generous – I’m uncomfortable admitting that. But I give what I can and always wish there was more where that came from (money and time, but especially time!).
Introverted – It takes me a long time to get comfortable with new people, and I don’t make a lot of IRL friends because I’m not into social stuff. I’d much rather be reading a book, or sewing or crafting, at home in my own space, and/or in my own head. 🙂
