It’s that time of year…..Goodreads members from all over the world have voted and chosen their favourite books. The 10th Annual Goodreads Choice Awards winners were announced and we wanted to see how the winners compared to what our Traveling Sisters voted for. Such a very exciting time especially for our group of Traveling Sisters who have dedicated so many hours to choosing, reading and discussing books from our mountainous and ever-expanding TBR piles.
Lindsay started a thread on The Traveling Sister Goodreads Group where Sisters voted for their picks in each category. The results are in from our Traveling Sisters and the winners are as follows:
FICTION:
The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain
HISTORICAL FICTION: Tie between:
Rust & Stardust by T. Greenwood
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
THRILLER/MYSTERY: Tie between:
Jane Doe by Victoria Helen Stone
HORROR:
DEBUT AUTHOR:
Memoir:
Educated by Tara Westover
YOUNG ADULT FICTION:
ROMANCE: One Day In December by Josie Silver
One Day in December by Josie Silver
*The categories not listed didn’t have enough votes to tally a winner.
Thanks to all the Traveling Sisters who participated! It was fun to see everyone’s nominations and discuss our thoughts.
We are interested in your thoughts! Did you agree with the Goodreads Choice Awards winners? Do you agree with what our Traveling Sisters voted for? We would love to hear from you!

What great choices! It’s funny…I couldn’t decide between Jane Doe & Lying in Wait in my own list!! So glad to see them tied.

Personally I found the Traveling Sisters picks more in line with the type of books I like. I’ve read a few of them and others are on my TBR list. I was a little disappointed in the Goodreads choices, mostly because I haven’t read many of them and I’m not that interested either. Good to know I’m not alone!

You’re definitely not alone Carol! That is why we came up with this idea. Happy to hear you’re in agreement with our choices. Hope you’re reading something fantastic now! ❤️💚

Now that’s more like it!! I think that Goodreads put more “mainstream” choices up for the initial vote, making it hard for some “under the radar” gems to garner enough votes to win..Love the results and the fun idea!

I didn’t get to read most of these books even though I wanted to because life got in the way. 😔 But I’ve heard of just about all of them, and I remember reading some great reviews on them. Thanks for sharing. 😊
