Traveling Sisters Book Reviews

Traveling together through books. Join us on our adventures through the books we read

The Goodreads Summer reading challenge is underway in the Traveling Friends group. We are challenging ourselves to read and knock off some of those unread released ARCS and anticipated books we have really wanted to read but have fallen behind on. We are sharing our picks and progress and doing a few buddy/friends reads for some of our picks for each prompt. If you haven’t joined in and would like to you can find us here.

Some upcoming buddy/friends reads or reads going on now

Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See

Pet Sematary by Stephen King

Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren

The Girls at 17 Swan Street by Yara Zgheib

The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah

We are beyond excited for the group read starting soon June 15 for Miracle Creek by Angie Kim and are so looking forward to reading this one with so many friends. If you haven’t joined in there is still time.

  2. Yay, I’ve also decided to join in on the GR Summer Reading Challenge and I’m so excited about it! Hope that I can tick off all the books on my list! I just saw that there’s a buddy read for The Great Alone, but hopefully it’s not ongoing right now? I’ll check it out on GR because that book is on my list too and it’d be awesome to read in a group 😀

I am so glad you are joining in! It’s a great way to get to those books we really want too. I look forward to chatting more about our picks for the prompts. That’s great you are joining in on Great Alone. I loved it! We read it a while back in the Sister group and it made for a great discussion

      1. Thanks, Brenda! I recently finished The Nightingale as part of a buddy read and it was a really great discussion book, so I’m sure that Great Alone will be the same. Looking forward to all the books this summer 😀
