Valentina by S.E. Lynes
From Goodreads: When Glasgow journalist Shona McGilvery moves with her partner Mikey and their baby to an idyllic cottage in rural Scotland, they believe that all that lies ahead of them is happiness.
But with Mikey working offshore, the frightening isolation of the Aberdeenshire countryside begins to drive her insane…
That is, until she is rescued by a new friendship with the enchanting Valentina.
She has the perfect home, the perfect man, and a charismatic new best friend – or does she?
As her fairytale life begins to unravel, the deep dark wood becomes the least of her fears…
A hauntingly intelligent, addictive psychological thriller from debut author S. E. Lynes.

Burial Rites by Hannah Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Date read: November 23 – 26, 2016
Burial Rites is beautiful and moving. I like how the story was told from the changing points of view of everyone involved and how I came to understand the way Agnes’s relationships changed. I like how I learned about what lead up to her conviction. I also liked how I learned about the harsh conditions of Iceland and what it must have been like for them.
I love how I felt the sadness, sorrow and kindness as the story of Agnes was told.

I don’t have as many books as Norma does. I probably have around 100 books and I still find myself buying more too. Today I spent a couple of hours at the library and borrowed 5 books and reserved 2 more. I also borrowed 2 E-books and reserved 2 more. Now my to-read-next-list has changed again. Here is a list of the books I borrowed. Any suggestion on what to read next?
